Article description

All people must find their way – but how, when one doesn't even know the destination? On their second album, the post-hardcore rap pioneers SPERLING depict the zeitgeist journey of a cathartic search for meaning. Fumbling in the darkness of uncertainty, the HunsrΓΌck quartet writes deep-reaching songs on 'MENSCHEN WIE MIR VERZEIHT MAN DIE WELT ODER HASST SIE', creating an emotional panorama of inner disorientation between sensitive reverb guitar waves, beat-heavy indie, and frustrated sonic power. Their artistry leads SPERLING through the most stylistically diverse and differentiated music they have ever written. However, the band does not have to embark on the journey to self-discovery alone. Features from international scene greats like BEING AS AN OCEAN and BLACKOUT PROBLEMS show that one of the most exciting newcomer bands of recent years has arrived to stay.

The album was produced and recorded in collaboration with Beray Habip (among others Fjort, Adam Angst) at Toolhouse Studio in Rotenburg an der Fulda, Tonstudio Liebling in Duisburg, and their own rehearsal room in Mannheim. Artwork and layout, as always, are by Lucas Mayer (Heisskalt, Blackout Problems).
