Since the release of their debut album „Opus" 2010, this Swedish Heavy Metal band is has become a top representative of the genre, and they are no secret tip any more, especially with well-known artists such as James Hetfield and Dave Grohl among the ranks of their fans.
The concept of Ghost (they also use the name Ghost B.C.) is tested and proven, the band members perform masked and anonymous, being respectively called „A nameless ghoul" - only the singer uses the pseudonym „Papa Emeritus" ('retired Pope'), resp. "Papa Emeritus II/III". They seem to stick with that, even in 2015 nobody seems to know exactly who the masked band members are. The alleged line-up changes unsettled the fans before the release of the new material of course - as did the choice of the producer (Klas Åhlund). But not to worry „Meliora" won't disappoint anyone, neither new aficionados nor stalwart supporters of the Ghost outputs so far. Papa Emeritus III. is a perfect part of the entity, adding a more melodious touch to the opus. Apart from great hits like „Deus in absentia" or „He is" (with bombastic choruses à la Asia), there's a lot of rougher stuff like the epic headbanger's hymn „Mummy dust".
