Still, it doesn't get boring for him especially because he is always trying to rediscover his music. With his eleventh album, Mr. Dirkschneider does a refreshing step forward. The album sounds modern and radiates some kind of juvenile playfulness without ever leaving the home base of the U.D.O.-sound. The Mastercutor opens the game show in a cool way and lets the band rock through the single tracks, either with huge melodies or the edgy, pure way. Precise drums bravely drive the songs forward into the arms of the edgy riffs, letting Udo's unmistakable vocals shoot forward with power. Also the single, "The wrong side of midnight" and the accompanying video clip underpin that "Mastercutor" is the easiest and freshest album of the Metal legend, also available in a Limited Edition with video clip and two bonus tracks.
