"Master of reality" LP by Black Sabbath
Everything that is called doom or stoner metal nowadays has probably started with "Master of Reality". The guitarist Tommi Iommi puts his guitar out of tune so it is easier to play. Playing three semitones lower, he creates a "massive and heavy sound" and forces the bass player Geezer Butler to do the same. The result has influenced many generations of musicians β Nirvana, Soundgarden, Smashing Pumpkins β their music is based on this milestone. Ozzy Osbourne claims he cannot remember anything due to the thick fog inside the studio, but at the same time he declares that "Children of the Grave" might well be the best "kick-ass song that has ever been composed". The fans showed their gratitude with this album going double platinum. The LP is released on 180g vinyl, including a download voucher.
