In 2010, the Swedish band Sonic Syndicate's fans weren't very happy: Richard Sjunnesson, Roger Sjunnesson and Roland Johansson left the band. However, shortly after that, they returned as 'The Unguided' and the fans celebrated: The Unguided bring back the hardness and acidity that Sonic Syndicate lost long ago. The third LP "Lust & Loathing" impresses with melodic power plays. The hard melodic death metal shell needs to be cracked open to get to the epic clean vocals and catchy keyboard parts. Powerful and dynamic song writing with Scandinavian influences, an amazing production and filigree guitar solos turn 'Lust and Loathing' into The Unguided's best album so far.
