Sonic Syndicate - the next coup. Everything on this album has improved: production, songs, artwork... Not that there was anything wrong with the predecessor "Only inhuman", but "Love and other disasters" is just so much better. "Encaged" for example is a hefty attack on your ears and might frighten some teenagers, but the Swedes have also written their own anthem with "My escape": if this melancholy, emotional ΓΌber song does not become a mega seller, then somethingβs wrong with the music biz... The CD may have mainstream potential, but the rough stuff still rules. The term "modern melodious Death Metal" still applies - but Sonic Syndicate are much more than that.
