After the release of their album ‘Defying Gravity’ in 2017, Mr. Big started touring around the world to promote their new release in a live environment. Anyone who’s had the pleasure of experiencing the band live will know that their musical ability and unbelievable vocals are fully brought to bear in this setting. Although his Parkinson’s disease had become public knowledge shortly before, drummer Pat Torpey toured with the band nonetheless and played the drums on select songs, sang backing vocals on others or played the tambourine while Matt Starr took over on the drums. Unfortunately this was one of Torpey’s last performances with the band; he died of his sickness in early 2018. The set preserves a special moment for the band and also serves as a ‘greatest hits’ album, since it contains classic songs from earlier albums as well as newer ones.
