The post-punk sensation SPRINTS from Dublin with their debut album on City Slang! The album includes the 2022 hit 'Literary Mind' and new singles like 'Up And Comer' and 'Adore Adore Adore'!

The post-punk sensation SPRINTS from Dublin, consisting of Karla Chubb (vocals/guitar), guitarist Colm O'Reilly, drummer Jack Callan, and bassist Sam McCann, traveled to the French Loire Valley in 2023 to record the album in twelve days with Daniel Fox from the Gilla Band. The result is a stunningly powerful album with a message of self-acceptance.
With "Letter To Self," SPRINTS passionately and persistently pave their own path to satisfaction, using pain as a means to grow. Inspired by Savages, their sound has matured into an energetic and rough garage punk that combines influences from early Pixies, Bauhaus, Siouxsie Sioux, IDLES, and LCD Soundsystem.
Lead singer, guitarist, and songwriter Karla Chubb confronts her inner turmoil and uses her platform to address inequality and issues close to her heart, such as the campaign for "Repeal The 8th" and the ongoing fight for women's bodily autonomy, struggles with self-acceptance, identity, mental health problems, sexuality, and Catholic guilt. SPRINTS' debut album "Letter To Self" will be released on January 5, 2024, via City Slang. After a tremendous performance at the Reperbahn Festival 2023, the band will embark on extensive tours in 2024, including a stop in Germany.
