"Les voyages de l'ame (10th Anniversary Edition)" CD by Alcest

‘Les Voyages De L’Âme’ (The Journeys of the Soul) is Alcest’s third album and represents the epitome of all the group’s work to date. While the 2005 debut EP ‘Le Secret’ was once the key to the world of Alcest, ‘Les Voyages De L’Âme’ unites all of Alcest’s works to date, both conceptually and musically. While an epic composition like ‘Là Où Naissent Les Couleurs Nouvelles’ could also have been included in ‘Écailles De Lune’, ‘Beings Of Light’, with its gleaming character, automatically calls to mind the groundbreaking EP ‘Le Secret’. ‘Autre Temps’, on the other hand, the first single on the album for which an impressive and visually stunning video was also shot, is a prime example of Alcest’s melodic and catchy side, which first shone in all its glorious splendour on the debut album ‘Souvenirs D’Un Autre Monde’.
