Founded in Leeds in 2000, Kaiser Chiefs are one of the defining bands of their generation. With the charismatic Ricky Wilson at the helm, Simon Rix on bass, Andrew 'Whitey' White on guitar, Nick 'Peanut' Baines on keyboards, and drummer Vijay Mistry, the band can boast a number of hits such as 'Oh My God', 'I Predict A Riot', 'Everyday I Love You Less and Less', 'Never Miss A Beat', and 'Hole In My Soul'.

Produced by Amir Amor (Sam Smith, Ed Sheeran, Charli XCX), Kaiser Chiefs present a fresh and bold new sound on 'The Easy Eighth'. In addition to 'Feeling Alright', the Brits impress across the board with the wild 'Beautiful Girl', the brass-heavy 'Job Centre Shuffle', the cheerful 'Jealousy', and the reminiscent of old Brit pop roots 'The Lads'.

The album announcement follows the success of the Beautiful South-inspired single 'Jealousy' and the euphoric 'How 2 Dance'. The new single 'Feeling Alright' was created when Nile Rodgers visited the band in the studio. The band stumbled upon a few jams and 'Feeling Alright' was the song that particularly caught Rodgers' attention. The band always enjoyed playing it, but they weren't sure where it belonged. Nile turned out to be the best man for the song and almost immediately found a home for it. He also brought in Amir Amor, who would go on to collaborate on the entire album.
