by Matthias Mineur (October 2005) The real art in Heavy Metal is to combine heaviness and melody in a way that fans of all kind of genres can be mobilized. God Forbid have faced this special challenge and mix their angry conglomerate of Thrash and Hardcore with melodic passages. Even more than ono the predecessor is "IV: Constitution of treason" an album that doesn't just kick it but also incorporates the right emotional side to it. Short: If you like Machine Head as well as have a liking for the '80s-NWOBHM heroes, God Forbid could be exactly the perfect mixture of both worlds. Okay, sometimes the arrangements may stumble a bit clumsy from one mood into the other but the approach is more than promising and the compositions are very good. That means: pump up the volume, hairs into the effective sound pressure and bang your head! (Matthias Mineur - October 2005)
