The Swedish power metal band CIVIL WAR is back with their brand new fourth album, Invaders, which will be released on June 17, 2022. Formed by former members of Sabaton, the Swedes now present 10 new anthems that tell the shocking war stories of suffering and tumultuous triumphs from all over the world. The album presents more stories of legendary victories and great corruption in the fast-paced 'Invaders' and the accusatory 'Heart of Darkness,' before 'Andersonville' describes the horrors of the Andersonville Prison through letters from a Union soldier to his wife. This song rises as a massive power ballad with overwhelming symphonic sound and emotional vocals. Invaders is rounded off with the fiery power metal highlight 'Battle Of Life.' This song is about persevering in difficult times and trusting in one's inner strength in times of need. The album concludes with the Western-inspired Heavy Metal battle cry 'Custer's Last Stand,' which impresses with Carpenter's passionate vocals, scorching guitar harmonies, keyboard fanfares, and resounding drums.
