by Oliver Kube (July 2004) With "In Keeping Secrets Of Silent Earth: 3", one of the most interesting bands of the Emo/Prog-genre released a true jewel. The high voice of frontman Claudio is like a mixture of Rush's Geddy Lee and Nathan Larson of Shudder To Think. Musically, the comparison to the Canadian hard rockers and the USW independent heroes is not far, either. Some sophisticated rhythms plus perfect instrumental abilities of the complex "The Crowning" or the comparably almost pop-like "Blood Red Summer" meet uncompromising Post-Hardcore attitudes with a liking of some weird ideas and explosions from the At-the Drive-In/Thursday-corner. In opposition to those acts, the New Yorker quartet not only sound much more disciplined but also the production is more transparent. Which is a great advantage for the listener in such requesting songs, like "Cuts Marked In The March Of Men" and the epic "The Velourium Camper III: Al The Killer". (Oliver Kube - July 2004)
