Serj Tankian manages to deliver a thrilling, sometimes pompous, at other times sad music, which fits into the category "world music". Otherwise this record has no frontiers and it's a shame to use categories. Electronic songs decorated with a fantastic orchestra are the main focus of "Imperfect harmonies". As diverse as the title of his second solo record, as diverse are the songs in general. Tankian is taking the listener on a journey of a fancy world of sounds, reaching from psychodelic floating to technical chill and wild Rock as shown by the track "Electron". In terms of production, he makes no compromises. With his different musical vocabularies, Serj Tankian is a living proof that it is possible to spark modern music to a spectacular new life. Sophisticated and timeless!
