    Discography

by Andy Blair (July 2004) Hardly any act reflects the expression "Gothic" better than the Finnish kings of the night, The 69 Eyes. Their erotic mixture of Gothic and Rock is truly unique and unreachable. And since they visually have a lot to offer, too, it was high time to reflect their class and quality on DVD. And that's what the sensational "Helsinki vampires" does now. Here, youo get a complete, 18 track live concert recorded in the legendary Tavastia Club of their hometown. An impulsive show that provΓdes you with permanent goose-flesh and that features all the band's highlights and pearls so far. Furthermore, you get all eight video clips of their hits, such as "Brandon Lee", "Gothic girl", "Betty blue" or "Call me", again underpinning the status of the band. Bonus features are documentaries, interviews, the complete discography and a picture gallery that leads you behind the scenes of the vampires. The 69 Eyes are a world on their own, you just have to love them and dig into their black dimensions. "Helsinki vampires" leaves no desires opened. (Andy Blair - July 2004)
