Hat off! While the last edition of the "Schlachtrufe"-sampler proved clearly that the German Punk scene has gone into a deep crisis, the Rostock, Germany-based band showed that even in hard times they are able to produce highlights. Their new c.d. "Halt mich fest" easily joins genre-classics of Slime, Toxoplasma, Beton Combo or Zusammrottung. With "Und jetzt?" (also released as a single) the coast-Punks even have a hit in their repertoire, introduced by a Danzig-riff, the track unfolds almost Toten Hosen-like unity. My favourite song however is "Dummheit kann man nicht verbieten", a quite clever statement about the recent right-winged racism. All in all, the c.d. has become quite guitar-oriented (and for this reason is also recommended to Metal-fans) and the vocals are mixed very up-front. A definite German Punk-classic! Nuff said!
