Savatage Hall of The Mountain King

Absolute classic record. That could pretty much sum up this fantastic 80s release. The Olivia brothers at their best as far as I am concerned. Songwriting musicianship and a strong production make this a masterpiece that not many bands could ever dream of getting close too. Not one filler track on the entire album. Chris Olivia and his distinctive tone in his finest performance make this record flawless and a must for any heavy music fan.

A True Metal Masterpiece!!!

Released in 1987 on Atlantic records, "Hall of the Mountain King" got Kerrang! magazine so excited, they hailed Savatage as the new Judas Priest! Nine tracks of dramatic, melodic and POWERFUL HEAVY METAL! Vocalist Jon Oliva sounds brilliantly deranged and his brother, the late, great guitarist Criss weaves some of the most memorable solos and leads you will ever hear! Trust me, if you love powerful, melodic metal like Priest, Megadeth, Scorpions and Armored Saint, you've gotta get this album! (I love it so much, I own four different copies!) Two bonus acoustic track on this version, liner notes by Jon Oliva, nice remastered sound and all wrapped up in a lovely digipack with that iconic artwork!!
