Terrific re-release of a classic album. The debut "Falconer" of the same-named Swedish Power Metal group is an inspiration for lots of bands from this genre and now appears as comprehensive double-CD (the bonus disc contains rare acoustic versions as well as long forgotten demo-ions). Highly melodic Heavy Metal unites with Swedish Folk melodies and clean vocals in absolute perfection. This re-release was remastered by no one less than Andy LaRocque.

by Eugen Legat (01/01) The split of Mithotyn, beside Vintersorg and Borknagar the most talented and unique interprets of Scandinavian Metal-history, can't be reduced to the dying of their label. There were tensions within the band long before, "The rover, from the third and final album, however, clearly pointed in the direction that Stefan Weinerhall wanted to move towards. So, his guitar works also under this new flag reveals some surprises, makes no compromises to the keyboards, yet, the overall style shows despite unmisreadable folk ingredients stronger parallels to traditional Heavy Metal than before. Beside his long-time companion, Karsten Larsson behind the drum-kit, singer Mathias Blad completes the trio. And Blad is that kind of pure and uncramped voice that Weinerhall had been looking for for a long time. Of such substance and the unmistakable mixture of galloping riffs and igniting melodies, other Northern bands can only dream off!
