Yet, "Fairytales and realityβ€œ ignites from the first second on. With the opener, "Illusions of lifeβ€œ, they pull the first trump: a majestic mid-tempo hitter that lets the adrenaline rise. Eleven songs are on the new album and it is striking that the production and the song structures are clearer and more dynamic. Shivers run down the spine over the complete course of the album and it's simply unbelievable what this exceptional band has created. An incredible song, like "Spiritβ€œ, is normally written only once in a life. Again, Olaf Hayer sings like a young god and sometimes reminds me of the glorious days of Michael Kiske. With "Fairytales and realityβ€œ, Dionysus release their personal "Keeper of the seven key - Part IIβ€œ. A six-kreutzer piece in the lottery for the band as for every fan of melodic power metal.
