The sixth full length album of Mercyful Fate is really competitive. Mike Wead (ex-Candlemass, ex-Memento Mori), is the new guitarist, who has a very similar style to his predecessor and who harmonates great with Hank Sherman. The real great hits of the centenary-albums "Melissa" and "Don't break the oath" are missing, but songs like "Banshee" or the elborated titlesong "Dead again" are shining with good unconventional rhythm-works and great riff-duells! The highlight of this disc is the varied "Sins forever", which starts as a smooth ballad, aggravates and again finishes pretty smooth.
