This band sets standards for a whole genre: the Italian symphonic power metal gods from 'Rhapsody of Fire' began their career in the middle of the 90's (called "Rhapsody" at first). Their unique sound created a new dimension of goose bumps feeling and made sure that the band had fans all over the whole world quite quickly.
After the live album 'Live β From Chaos to Eternity', they have now finished their long awaited new studio album β 'Dark Wings of Steel'. Most songs were composed by Alex and Manuel Staroli, Fabio Lione wrote the lyrics. A strong album is to be expected which reminds us of old masterpieces like 'Symphony of Enchanted Lands' and 'Dawn of Victory'. However, it also includes refreshing, new elements.
