Now, all views are back on Finland again: with a bang, Tuomas, Marco, Emppu and Jukka wipe all critics away! "Dark passion play" is Nightwish at their very best. Perfect, harmonic and more touching than ever, this album marks a changing point in the history of the band and leaves nothing left to be desired. With her crystal voice, the beautiful Swedish Anette Olzon aspirates new life into Tuomas' majestic compositions. She sings so enchanting, with wonderful easiness, so unobtrusive and graceful that every comparison with her predecessor is invalid. Pleasant shivers run down the spine, from the 13-minute opener "The poet and the pendulum", via the hit single, "Amaranth" to the wonderful ballad, "Eva" and Marco's great "The islander": this album captures you from a to z. "Dark passion play" is a great piece of art that with every single tune promises unbridled passion.
