by Oliver Kirchner (02.03.2010) "Crime scene cleaner", the new release by this German Melodic Metal combo, is a lot better than their last one ("One", of 2006). The band has matured considerably - in almost every department: the sound has improved extremely, and songwriting, vocals and album concept are a versatile entity. Phönix Rising manage to build their own unique musical bridge between Accept/U.D.O. and old icons à la Ozzy. The vocals are yet another proof of that: singer Ralf sounds like a furious mix of Ozzy and Udo Dirkschneider. Check out these ones: "Outlaw" (makes you grab the old helmet and hit the road on that motorcycle!), emotional ballad "Lost soul", über-smasher "Stand up" (Catchiness - with a C) or the cover version of Roxette's "Sleeping in my car".
