by Tim Petric (04/02) The Hellacopters are the "Kings of Rock'n'Roll", that¦s for sure. There are not many bands making such a dirty sound, and that's what's most charming with the Swedes. What surprises on "Cream of the crap" is the fact that it's a b-side-album; they always said they don't want to make such an album because the b-sides were always meant to be only the bonus for the customers buying the single-releases. But opinions can change, and I think that we all can be glad for this decision. "Cream of the crap" can easily be called a singular album disregarding the fact that the single tracks stand for their time of origin, which can be heard, too. Yet, there is not a single weak spot on the album! This is an album that sets emotions free, fastens your pulse and accelerates it from 0 to 100 in less than a second. Pure Rock'n'Roll.
