Tracks like 'Out of Time,' 'In This Condition,' and 'The Fray' showcase fluid arrangements and captivating dynamic shifts, while 'Here and Now' and the cautiously optimistic 'Better Days' remind us that Staind is not unfamiliar with beauty - when appropriate, of course. Lyrically, Confessions of the Fallen draws from the dark, contemplative corners that Lewis has always incorporated into Staind's songs, yet these 10 songs are more personal than ever before.
