We have the honor to witness the release of a best-of compilation by one of Γ¬
the most innovative Metal bands of all times. After 10 years of music this Γ¬
is well-deserved. The tracklist starts...backwards - so to speak - with "Am Γ¬
Universum" to "My Kantele" and the debut "The karelian isthmus". Naming all Γ¬
songs would certainly go beyond the scope of this review, since there are 17 Γ¬
of 'em. But let me say this much - none of the classics is missing. The Γ¬
slightly lean booklet even offers a small history of the band. But that's Γ¬
not all you get. The case also contains a seperate 5-video promo DVD Γ¬
featuring "Alone", "Divinity", "My kantele", "Against widows" and "Black
winter day". Value for money! Expecially late entries who lack a couple of Γ¬
Amorphis albums should get their hands on this release. It offers a well-Γ¬
researched overview of the musical creativity of this band.
