by Markus Eck (21.04.2008) Since 1999, the Swedes have sacrificed themselves for traditional Melodic Power Metal and such unbroken devotion can also be heard on their new studio album. Enormously powerful, with great rhythms and awesome techniques, Steel Attack rock it on "Carpe diend" – and the Scandinavian group of men present more complex compositions than ever. Also this sixth album features a lot of interesting ideas and performance finesses bearing some thrilling discoveries and a lot of surprising (progressive) moments. Anyway, "Carpe diend" is truly no shallow water, this is artistic depth. Not every song on the album is instantly accessible which makes this new release of the Swedes an album with a long-time entertainment and pleasure effect.
