by Oliver Kube (19.02.2010) Dragons, trolls, fairies, nymphs and a plethora of other mythological creatures - the sixth album of this German Dark Folklore quartet is brimming with all those tales. Musically, the band has alway been very authentic - on this release, they are as traditional as it gets. Oliver "SaTyr" Pade & Co. used exclusively antique (and thus acoustical) instruments to deliver thoughtful, versatile material Γ  la "Herr Heinerich", but also upbeat tracks such as "Der wilde Wassermann" or more sophisticated compositions like "Sen polska" with the appropriate atmosheric touch. The package consists of a wonderfully designed booklet looking like a genuine book, containing all lyrics, (partially even with explanations, for a better understanding of the text), and sheets for those among you who are able to read music and want to pluck their strings to it. Classy stuff - and a must for genre aficionados.
