Watch out because here is real rock βnβ f**king roll! The Australian hard rock megastars from Airbourne unleash their fifth studio album βBoneshakerβ, released on 25 October. For the recording of their upcoming album βBoneshakerβ the lads from Warrnambool, Australia, collaborated with five-time Grammy-award winner Dave Cobb, who has previously produced Chris Stapletonβs albums and the Oscar-winning soundtrack from βA Star Is Bornβ. This is definitely a big step out of the bandβs comfort zone. βIt felt like we were performing a live gig in the studio,β said Airbourne mastermind Joel Oβ Keeffe. βThat was exactly our aim. We wanted to capture the energy and spirit of our concerts on the album. Cobb did an incredible job with this.β The tracks were recorded in the historic Studio A recording studio in Nashvilleβs famous Music Row, where Cobb has been working since forever. The common vision was to create an album that could live up to the string of βOz rockβ classics released in the late 70s by the legendary Australian label Art Productions, which continue to inspire Airbourne today. What theyβve come up with are ten breath-taking, booty-shaking, knee-breaking tracks that will blow you right over. Staying true to their rock βnβ roll spirit, they transport the smell of burned rubber, leaked petrol and red-glowing engines in the darkness. No corny ballads, no powerless acoustic guitars, and especially no keyboards. 10 tracks, 30 minutes of sensational music. What you do get is the true kernel of rock βnβ roll that will literally go right to your core, with captivating guitars, a bass-rumbling rhythm section and a frontman bursting full of charisma and passion. Or as the band puts it: This is βBoneshakerβ. This is Airbourne. Rock βnβ roll for life with this timeless cover of βBoneshakerβ, created in collaboration with Matt Read from Combustion Ltd. and Sean Tidy from Design House Studio Ltd.!
