The German Viking Metal idealists Varg are back - and friend and foe will certainly be impressed by this hefty new album. The grim horde has improved its skills considerably since the debut album "Wolfszeit" came out in 2007 - which is a pleasure to hear on this fresh output. The blokes strut their stuff, they're serious, confident, and ambitious, but never arrogant or conceited. The band has a knack for variety and knows about the importance of it: because of their creativity, the CD never gets boring or shallow - au contraire... The clout and potential of the new songs is enhanced by the beefy production done in Andy Classen's Stage One Studio. This is a Viking's dream come true: a mighty war which will wreck your speakers!
