Secret Sphere are pioneers of the Italian power metal scene, standing alongside other famous acts of the same era such as Labyrinth and Rhapsody Of Fire. Led by guitarist and producer Aldo Lonobile (Geoff Tate's Sweet Oblivion, Zak Stevens' Archon Angel, etc.), the band has showcased their unique sound since 1999 through numerous Tours, headline shows, and festival appearances. The concept of the album explores the dark corners of the mind in a gloomy and magical atmosphere through the abilities of Dr. Julius B. The brilliant psychologist is in a deep depressive crisis, unable to generate his own emotions, living and working compulsively. He plunderes the subconscious of his patients, in order to make the sleeping passionate rhythm, the 'blackened heartbeat,' pulsate in his veins once again. 'Blackened Heartbeat' showcases the band's darkest and heaviest side, and it is undoubtedly their fastest album to date with intricate drum patterns, technical and heavy guitars, dark and majestic orchestrations, and Roberto's unique vocals. 'Blackened Heartbeat' is the band's second comeback album featuring the original singer Roberto Ramon Messina.
