On "Bitte schlag mich" the Berlin band does not mince words and drills deeper to where it really hurts. They do so with a flattening storm front consisting of guitars, a bombastic voice and a mixture of great metal riffs and massive electronics, enriched by catchy grooving NDW influences.
Thereby the Ost+Front provocateurs, not only for the effect's sake, also operate with lots of cynicism and a great portion of black humour. This is how, for example, the issue of domestic violence is presented on a theme song in an extremely creative way. In addition, the EP includes the rare and wanted club hit "Silikon" - an orchestral reinvention of the band anthem "Think Song". 4 remixes of the title track, amongst others, Lord Of The Lost, Rabia Sorda and Pankow, as well as a completely re-recorded version by Mortis, which converts "Bitte schlag' mich" in a rousing catchy ballad.
This collection of new songs is refined through a tribute to Grandmaster Falce, whose posthumous classic "Out Of The Dark" by Ost+Front exactly is transformed to an emotional steamroller.
An EP is a nice rare steak with which the rough Berlin band will feed you on their next year upcoming album "Olympia". Are you ready for this?
