"Awesome Mix Vol.1" CD by Guardians Of The Galaxy

The official soundtrack to the action highlight of this summer appeared on 29th April in time for the cinema release of the new Marvel film „Guardians of the Galaxy": „Guardians of the Galaxy Awesome Mix Vol.1“ combines 12 classics from the seventies that all play a central role in the film - among others tracks like „Hooked on a Feeling“ by Blue Swede, „I’m Not In Love“ by 10cc, „Come and Get Your Love“ by Redbone as well as „Cherry Bomb“ by The Runaways. Music has a very important role in „Guardians of the Galaxy“, as the songs used for the film are strictly speaking even a central part of the plot: One important point of the film is that one of the main actors, Quill, has a mix tape [„Awesome Mix #1“] his mother had recorded for him shortly before her death. Worldwide chart placings demonstrate how well the interaction of film and music works here: The soundtrack reached place no. 1 in the Billboard charts in the USA!
