by Markus Eck (04/01) This rotten piece of music was formed in 1990 by the brothers Mika and Kimmo Luttinen. Impaled Nazarene were among the most extreme bands in European black metal - also in lyrical terms. Now, the Finnish devils release their 8th album. What a contrast for the listener: "All that you fear" is wrapped in garishly fine sounds - but underneath the fan finds 13 new death metal killers of rawest grace, all of them thrilling and brutal ear smashers. You will not experience any decline of that on "All that you fear". Neither will Γ¬ you experince any innovations. Despite all manic heaviness and all tendency for density their current output excels in the occasional harmonic guitar and melody Γ¬ lines. Every now and then you get a solo that perfectly pairs up with the midtempo parts. "all that you fear" contain some of IN's best compositions ever. (Markus Eck - 04/01)
