"Aborted from reality" CD by Static Abyss

Aborted from reality' is the second Static Abyss album, and although Static Abyss itself is a relatively new act, it consists of long-standing members of the US metal scene. The band is composed of the duo Greg Wilkinson (guitar/bass) & Chris Reifert (drums/vocals), both members of the legendary American masters of sickness, Autopsy, with Greg (also from the cult band Deathgrave) recently becoming the new permanent bassist for the album 'Morbidity Triumphant'.

'Aborted from reality' quickly follows the debut album 'Labyrinth of veins' released in 2022, which was also a wild and infectious ride through a nightmarish sonic landscape. The album provides a strong contrast between a brutal wall of riffs and creeping, darkly hypnotic guitar leads that burrow under the skin, combining death metal with crust and doom elements to create a sick and nerve-racking experience. Chris' distinctive vocals bubble up from the depths of madness in this soundtrack to a fear-filled dimension, accentuating the twisted riffs from Greg's own cauldron of mental chaos.
