Mentalist are a melodic metal band from SaarbΓΌcken, founded in 2018." Journey Into The Unknown" is the second album and the band takes a big step forward. Mentalists are Peter Moog (guitars), Thomen Stauch (drums, ex Blind Guradian), Kai Stringer (guitars, ex Starchild) and exceptional singer Rob Lundgren (200.000 YouTube Follower) on the mic. Oliver Palotai (Kamelot; Keyboards) Mike LePond (Symphony X) together with singer Henning Basse (Metalium, Firewind; Backing vocals) complete the troop. As with its predecessor, the focus is on great guitar melodies and vocal lines. Great artwork by Andreas Marschall, with the band mascot Mentalist as a recurring focal point, also visually on tour. Mix by Jacob Hansen (Volbeat, Pretty Maids etc.). influences from the genre's greats such as Iron Maiden, Helloween and Blind Guardian still shine through - but they formed their own identity. Just a damn good metal record.
