To celebrate their 50th anniversary, the legendary American hard Rock band Blue Γyster Cult performed three very special live concerts at the Sony Hall in New York City in September 2022. For this milestone in their career, the band played one of their first three Albums (Blue Γyster Cult, Tyranny and Mutation, & Secret Treaties) at each show, along with a series of deep cuts and classics from their other Albums. Founding member Albert Bouchard was a special guest on all three nights, presenting a lineup featuring three original members (Buck Dharma, Eric Bloom, and Albert Bouchard) who were the focus of the evening, supported by Danny Miranda, Richie Castellano, and Jules Radino. The band played for nearly three hours and delivered a fantastic set to a sold-out crowd. For five decades, Blue Γyster Cult has thrilled fans of intelligent hard Rock worldwide with Albums full of classics. The Long Island, New York-based band is revered in the hard Rock and heavy metal scene for their pioneering work and holds a unique place in Rock history. They are cited as a major influence by many bands, including Metallica. The BΓC canon includes three timeless classics: the iconic '(Don't Fear) The Reaper' from 1976's 'Agents Of Fortune,' the pounding 'Godzilla' from 1977's 'Spectres,' and the hypnotic and melodic 'Burnin' for You' from 1981's 'Fire Of Unknown Origin.' The intense creative vision of BΓC's original core duo, consisting of singer/lead guitarist Donald 'Buck Dharma' Roeser and singer/rhythm guitarist Eric Bloom, is complemented by Richie Castellano on guitar and keyboards, as well as the longstanding rhythm section of bass guitarist Danny Miranda and drummer Jules Radino. They released an Album of new material in 2020 and are regularly on tour. Essential for hard Rock fans.
