The set includes six maxi-singles on Vinyl, featuring the singles from Delta Machine, the band's first LP recorded for Columbia Records: Heaven (original release: March 2013), Soothe My Soul (original release: May 2013), and Should Be Higher (original release: October 2013).
On Delta Machine | The 12' Singles, in addition to the reissues of the original maxi-singles, there are three additional discs with remixes, dub mixes, instrumental and live versions, radio mixes, and the bonus track 'Goodbye (Gesaffelstein Remix).'
Each box set in this series focuses on the singles from a specific Depeche Mode album. The tracks of the audiophile maxi-singles have been remastered from the original tapes. The box sets are designed to resemble the original albums, and the covers of the 12' records in the collection match the artwork of the originals.
Depeche Mode recorded their 13th album, Delta Machine, in 2012 at the Sound Design Studio in Santa Barbara, California, and the Jungle City Studios in New York. The musicians worked with producer Ben Hillier for the third time, who had previously been involved in the albums Playing the Angel (2005) and Sounds of the Universe (2009).
The album was mixed by the legendary sound engineer Flood, who also worked on Violator (1990) and Songs of Faith and Devotion (1993).
After the LP release in March 2013, the band presented their new work live on the Delta Machine Tour, which started on May 4 in Nice and ended on March 7, 2014, in Moscow.
