by Jürgen Tschamler (20.03.2008) With "The prestige", the Danes release their tenth album. Also on this album, Illdisposed make no compromises and hammer nail for nail into the coffin lid. With predecessors, like "Burn me wicked" and "1-800 Vindication", the benchmark is extremely high but the guys around bass-man Bo Summer can convince immediately on "The prestige". The groovy intro of "Let's go" may still be easy but with "The tension", the merciless murderer waltz sets in. Like this, the Danes rock with a tremendous power, reduced their sound to the essentials and send killer riffs after killer riffs into the atmosphere. "The prestige" as a whole is less polite than the excellent predecessors with their many ear candies. One of the highlights on the new album is "A child is missing" featuring the usual Illdisposed ear candy qualities. Also the final "Ich bin verloren in Berlin" combining German, Danish and English lyrics is great β like an elbow right into your face. Killer.
