In late 2021, POWERWOLF, currently the most successful German metal band, fascinated audiences with a streaming event of unprecedented proportions. On July 8, 2022, THE MONUMENTAL MASS – A CINEMATIC METAL EVENT will finally be released on DVD, BluRay, and many other physical formats. POWERWOLF has been known for epic metal moments of the highest order for years, but what they present at this streaming event surpasses everything seen before. A story was meticulously crafted over several months, which is told through music and elaborately staged film scenes in multiple chapters. All the show effects, actors, and locations work hand in hand, taking live music to an unprecedented level. Cinematic images ranging from battles with clergy to stories of nuns and monks to burning angels captivate the viewer. Each song has its own impressive stage design, perfectly showcased - the set design, size, and production are truly unique. One live premiere follows another, interspersed with one POWERWOLF classic after another - all in impressively produced sound. With songs like fan favorite 'Demon's Are A Girl's Best Friend,' 'Beast Of Gévaudan,' or the radio hit from their last studio album 'Dancing With The Dead,' the wolves artistically transport the audience, aided by numerous actors, directly into the screenplay of the original music videos. One of the many highlights of the show is Falk Maria Schlegel's bombastic pyro organ, which spits fire with every keystroke on songs like 'Fire And Forgive' and 'Amen & Attack.' During 'Cardinal Sin,' singer Attila Dorn pushes a self-righteous cardinal back into the fire, while during the ballad 'Where The Wild Wolves Have Gone,' snow falls on the fire-dominated scenery. Throughout all four chapters - Temptation, Sin, Confession, and Forgiveness - a high-quality pyro show is tastefully incorporated, sometimes remaining in the background and other times dominating the scene. A live spectacle that reveals more details with each repeated viewing, solidifying POWERWOLF's status as the outstanding band of the genre! But that's not all - as a special bonus, the Mediabook will include POWERWOLF's legendary headline show from Wacken 2019, titled Hallowed Be The Holy Ground, in its entirety.
