by Patrick Beier (01/04) After the first single "Did my time" had been released some time ago already I now finally get an introduction to the long-awaited sixth output "Take a look in the mirror" from the Bakersfield boys. Surprisingly, the first songs are very sophisticated and quite powerful, provided with the typical, beloved KoRn-heaviness that had been reduced on the very experimental, overly produced and hardly catchy "Untouchables". Beginning with the second single "Right now" via "Break some off" - a superb neck breaker this masterpiece of neo metal contains all facets of music that the KoRn fans have become acquainted with. Uncompromising, brutal guitar riffs pair up with angry vocals and shivering basses. But also melodies and calmer parts make the album a fascinating unity of both mosh-parts and melancholic, relaxing phases.
