by Sonja Angerer (April 2004) "Lovelorn" is really a debut album - but isn' t really, because the line up is first choice: singstress Liv Kristine Espanes is of course of Theatre Of Tragedy-fame and known of her pop-project, Liv Kristine. In the background we have the colleagues of Atrocity. Musically, the allstar band plays keyboard-orientated gothic metal, broad, opulent soundscapes, fantastic melodies and refrains to dream to. Above that is the enchanting voice of Liv Kristine's, fairy-like but powerful. In the centre of the album stands a young man whose beloved drowned in the sea. After many suffering he is re-united with her by committing suicide. Highlight of the album is surely "Into your Light", an almost poppy, romantic song with 80s-feeling. Also "Leaves Whisper" with its anthemnic melody and the fat, catchy riffs could become a hit. A big multi-media part including a screen saver rounds off the album. (Sonja Angerer - April 2004)
