"I Am Heresy" CD by I Am Heresy

Not a lot of bands are founded on the home couch during a classic father-son talk. Like what happened with I Am Heresy. As Nathan Gray (singer of the Post-Hardcore heroes Boysetsfire) one day after the split-up of his band The Casting Out was listening to his son Simon (May 4th Massacre) playing the guitar, he was convinced it was his fatherly duty, to oblige Simon for his new project. Together with Jonah Latshaw (the eldest son of the Boysetsfire colleague Joshua Latshaw!) riffs were written quite spontaneously. I Am Heresy are the counterdraft to Pop-Punk of Gray's latest band and a recollection of his begins in the metallic Hardcore of the nineties. Bands like Integrity, Converge and of course the raw beginnings of Boysetsfire determine the sound on the debut. Interesting for fans of Converge, Integrity and early Boysetsfire.
