by Björn Thorsten Jaschinski (18.01.2007) For most Metalheads, the band history began with Andy B. Franck joining them and the succeeding Metal Blade-debut "Ambiguity". The two earlier albums of the Southern German Power Metallers formed in 1989, featuring Marcus JΓΌrgens on vocals, often remain unmentioned. The re-release as double CDs will change the problem of availability: "Hungry" and "Unholy" were included in both the original versions and the re-worked version. Beside the original bonus tracks, like that of the Japan editions, you get one demo each full of great leftover pearls. Unfortunately, only the surely charming 1990-debut tape "Hands of doom" was not included. But at least, the quite rough, self produced 1997-album "Hungry" not only features the duet of Marcus with "Mr. Know-it-all" Ralph Scheepers (ex-Gamma Ray, Primal Fear), but also the "Heart of Hate"-2-song demo, like "The 5th season" tape recorded five years earlier. The latter, recorded under supervision of Charlie Bauerfeind in the Hansen Studio and representing a quantum leap, was included on "Unholy".
