by Markus Eck (23.01.2008) With this very successful 2007-studio album, the Progressive/Melodic-Metallers presented themselves at their best. Typically for the later, musical appearance of Kamelot, also this album offered both high value and emotionally very variable material. The mixture of thrilling, opulent gloominess and catchy melodies is crowned by the vocal performance of the singer, Khan. The initial limited edition was released including a bonus track and a DVD, now the label re-releases the album again. The re-release is called "Ghost opera – Reprise" and includes the bonus track, "Seasons's end", as well as a highly interestingLive-CD, featuring predominantly songs from the Ghost Opera as well as in the U.S. and Europe previously unreleased songs. The song, "Memento mori" is even featured as a live-video-clip, and for the song, "The haunting", Simone Simons from Epica added her grace- and powerful vocals.
