Nobody plays real hard rock any more like the pros once did. That will probably change now with this exceptional super group, because the "DEVIL CITY ANGELS" line-up consists of Rikki Rockett (Poison), Tracii Guns (L.A. Guns), Rudy Sarzo (Quiet Riot, Ozzy Osbourne, Whitesnake) and Brandon Gibbs (Cheap Thrill) and presents sweaty rock in its purest form, and neither crispy choruses nor the bluesy moments are missing. The band members are not resting on their 80's success of more than 100 million records sold together, but are raging out of the speakers with unexpected freshness and energy. I guess you can just rely on such veterans and this self titled debut is one of the largest hard rock surprises of the year. This is the way a super group has got to be, this is perfect rock!
