by Lisa Hofer (21.07.2008) It sounds like a modern fairy tale: five boys from a Southern German village take off for a stunning career and leave out all these annoying stop overs... "From the school yard to the stage" could be the Hackneyed motto: theyโre all between 14 and 18 years young! Their music, though, is much more mature - or maybe not, because "Death prevails" is brimming over with mere playful versatility, energy and imagination. The songs are intricate and speedy, sometimes leaving behind Death Metal clichรฉs or rigid structures. Prejudices against "the kids" are smothered - veterans wouldnโt have done it any better: tracks like "Gut candy" prove that Phil, Devin, Alex, IX and Tim should have an interesting career ahead of them. Theyโre gifted boys, Achim Ostertag (who organizes the annual Summerbreeze festival in Germany) is their manager, plus they have a record deal with Nuclear Blast - what could go wrong?
