Article description

This is the much disputed comeback album by the Teutonic steel legend with their new vocalist. You'll get the usual full Accept service, including mighty riffs, pumping rhythms and great choruses! That'll put a sock in the critics' mouth...

by Jürgen Tschamler (12.07.2010) Accept without Udo Dirkschneider - a scandal. Accept with a new singer - unthinkable. How's that supposed to work out!? I was among the flock of pessimists gathering around the bush drums when the news leaked... and have to admit: unnecessary so. Ex-TT Quick screamster Mike Tornillo is a more than adequate substitute! Even if it will annoy veteran Accept fans and U.D.O. maniacs, "Blood of the nations" is brimming with exactly those trademarks which turned Accept into a mega band. Axe duo Hoffmann/Frank delivers the well-known riff barrage for the awesome rhythm section, and Mike Tornillo, just as his predecessor, is more a shouter than a singer, so he lets out some pretty mighty roars -- if you're an Accept fan, you'll be in heaven when listening to such up- tempo smashers like "Locked and loaded"! Most of the compositions hover around the mid-tempo area, making for pumping, intoxicating material like "Bucketful of hate", "Rollin' thunder", or "Blood of the nations".
