Delirium
While “Delirium” fares better than its predecessor, it’s still a very slightly-above-average record at best. At its worst, it comes off as bland and ordinary, and that's sadly the realm the album dwells in the most. Granted, there are some moments of emotional power and noteworthy writing, but those don't happen often enough for them to make up for the rest of the album's exhausted pallor. Lacuna Coil’s Fire is dangerously close to burning out for good, and it’s going to take a giant leap forward in order for them to be able to stand the test of time for much longer. Until then, maybe if you’re a serious fan of the gothic or alternative rock genres and are very forgiving and tolerant, this might be worth a shot. Other than that, it’s not awful, but there are so many other releases out there that are more deserving of your time; I’d give this one a pass.

Synthesis by Evanescence
It frequently feels like one of those remix albums where tinkering guests have tried too hard to put their own stamp on proceedings, resulting in curios that are momentarily interesting, but will never replace the established versions in your affections on your playlists.

The best symphonic metal band today
All in all, this is a very good album, and shows why Epica is the best symphonic metal band today. They know what they are doing, and can go from black metal-like passages to soothing, calm sections like no one else besides Therion and Opeth could. Their sound is original, and they do not fear changes, giving them identity without falling in mediocrity like many other bands that were once great.

The new musical direction
Although being a good album with a very good production behind it (and this is no surprise), basically A Rose for the Apocalypse goes through the new musical direction Draconian began when they stepped out of their previous path. However it doesnt add anything significant to their journey, perhaps just allow them to construct a small bridge from the old and the new.

For those who liked thedebut album
Those of you who liked the debut album Amaranthe are probably not going to be disappointed. Its more of the same, so to say, a continuation and non-evolution. So, having more goodness like the debut is good news for you.

Arch Enemy, ‘Will to Power’ – Album Review
Will to Power does exactly what it was designed to do but one can easily play the previous two albums to hear similarly styled songs and still get the same empowering feeling as if you were listening to their most recent effort. For those looking to be motivated, this is an effective stimulant, for those hoping for a revitalization from a highly influential band, this is a decent album and not much more.

Fairytales from Nightwish
There's an opinion that "The best of" albums are something like waste of money. I can't stand by this side for 2 reasons.
1. If you're not a fan of Nightwish so this CD is a great opportunity to discover their "gold era" with Tarja Turunen on vocals. Her voice, charisma and appearance in combination with magic music of Tuomas Holopainen are the things that made this band absolutely unique on the global heavy metal scene.
2. If you're a diehard fan of the band you also should pay your attention to this release since there are 4 rarities: Sleepwalker (Eurovision Version), Nightquest (taken from the Japanese edition of "Oceanborn album), Lagoon and The Wayfarer (both are bonus tracks from "Century Child" album).
