Sonata Arctica

Weird shit: Sonata Arctica come up with song structures that will surprise every music fan and musician. The boys from Finland have created their very own sound with their album "Unia" - a sound mainly invented by the band's master mind Tony Kakko. If this album doesn't leave you with a happy grin on your face, you better switch on the radio again.

Unia also marks an extreme change of style in the history of Sonata Arctica. You won't experience that Happy Metal feeling from their previous releases, though. But this "little" change of style has done the band good. With their work "Stones Grow Her Name", they have surprised all their fans again. This time, Sonata Arctica follow the footsteps of bands like Nightwish - and it suits them well.
